WRIGHT (THOMAS), typefounder and bookseller in London, 1627-39. Took up his freedom in the Company of Stationers May 27th, 1627 { ? } [Arber, iii. 686]. On February 1st, 1638/9 two copies were assigned over to him by Thomas Purfoot { PURFOOT, Thomas ( - 1640) ‹ LBT 07180 › } [Arber, iv. 454]. Thomas Wright was also a typefounder and was one of the four appointed under the Star Chamber decree of 1637 [Arber, iv. 535].
