SNAPE (HENRY), bookseller in the parish of As[t]bery, co. Chester, 1585. On February 7th, 1585/6, Richard Snape, son of the above, was apprenticed to Edward Aggas { AGGAS, Edward (1549 - 1625) ‹ LBT 08597 › }, citizen and stationer of London, for ten years [Arber, ii. 138]. This Henry Snape may have been a relative of the Thomas Snape { SNAPE, Thomas ‹ LBT 30751 › }, stationer of London, who is found mentioned in the Subsidy Rolls of 1523 [1623] and 1544 [1644].
