SEYGAR (PAUL), printer in London, was an assistant to Edward Whitchurch { WHITCHURCH, Edward ( - 1562) ‹ LBT 02612 › } and is entered in St. Bride's Parish in the Subsidy Roll of 1549 with goods valued at four pounds. [R. of A., I, 180.] In 1550, October 29th, he took out letters of denization. [Pat. 4 Edw. VI, p. 4, m. 4.] In 1551 we find him in a list of members of the Dutch Church "Paulus Seghers, met Margareta, een drucker, met Nicolais" [R. of A., I, 213], so that he had then left Whitchurch and joined Nicholas Hill { HILL, Nicholas ( - 1557) ‹ LBT 28420 › }.
