Further Notes

Freedom by Translation - Moseley's freedom is so described in the Register of Freedoms, though how he could qualify for translation is unclear. Perhaps his father, a Londoner, was free of another company in which Moseley had earlier taken up his freedom by patrimony. CHECK Cook's Company. --- Assistantship - on 14 Jul 1651 Moseley was chosen Assistant, but asked to be excused and apparently was. However, although there is no record of his subsequent election, he began attending the Court on 23 Mar 1653 and attended fairly regularly thereafter down to within eighteen months of his death. ---
