Plomer, H.R. (1907) p.126

MEIGHEN (MERCY), bookseller in London, (?) Under St. Clements Church [Strand], 1642-54. Widow of Richard Meighen { MEIGHEN, Richard ( - 1642) ‹ LBT 10445 › }. In partnership with G. Bedell { BEDELL, Gabriel ( - 1668) ‹ LBT 11089 › }. In 1650 Thomas Collins { } was taken as third partner. The retirement or death of M. Meighen in 1654 caused some confusion. Gabriel Bedell's name is found in connection with R. Marriot { MARRIOTT, Richard ‹ LBT 10424 › } and T. Garthwaite { GARTHWAIT, Timothy ( - 1669) ‹ LBT 10312 › }, and the imprint J. Crook { }, G. Bedell & Partners is held to refer to this house, which before the end of the year became Gabriel Bedell & T. Collins.
