PRO - Stationer of Compton Field Place, Surrey. --- Treadwell, M. - Notes - Edward Lane of Windsor and Thomas Hatch of Conworth Berks (gent & yeoman respectively) are left all his manor of Field Place or Compton Field Place, Surrey, as trustees for the use of his loving wife Anne Manship, then to son John and heirs, failing whom to son Samuel and heirs, failing whom to daughter Elizabeth and heirs. Rest of estate in thirds, one to wife, one to three children (adding the £2000 already given to John ) and remaining third: wife gets all jewels, household goods, £1000 and all stock in Stationers' Company. To his sister Barbara Everard £20 pa and he wants her lodged with his wife; the rest equally to wife & three children.
