EDWARDS (GEORGE), junior, (?) bookseller in London, 1624. Under date June 1st, 1624, there is an entry in the Registers to "George Edwards, Junior," of some of the Rev. Henry Smith's sermons [Arber, iv. 118]. This may have been a son of George Edwards { EDWARDS, George ( - 1646) ‹ LBT 06951 › }, senior, in partnership with his father. There was another George Edwards { EDWARDS, George ‹ LBT 09843 › } who took up his freedom in the Company on December 1st, 1634 [Arher, iii. 687).
MLT Note: Cf. McKerrow, R. B. &c. (1910) - where two George Edwards are somewhat confused.
