HARRIS (ANDREW), bookseller in London, 1595-8; The Pope's Head near the Exchange. Son of Thomas Harris { HARRYS, Thomas ( - 1587) ‹ LBT 07613 › }, stationer of London [see Duff, Century, p. 67]. Apprentice to Thomas Hacket { HACKETT, Thomas ‹ LBT 07579 › } for eight years from Whitsuntide, June 4th, 1587. Made free of the Company February 25th, 1594/5. On April 14th, 1598, he entered The second parte of Hero and Leander, by Henry "Polone" (i.e., Petowe) [Hazlitt, H. 454; Arber, iii. 111].
