1792-09-25 1793-03-04 C.B."P" = Will of Richard Johnson the Elder Granted to Richard Johnson (LBT/19583) the Son of the said Deceased and the sole Executor named in the said Will --- I, Richard Johnson of Bride Lane Fleet Street in the Parish of St.Bride London being perfectly sound in Mind and Memory do make this my last Will and Testament Imprimis I nominate and appoint my Son Richard Johnson the Executor of this my last Will hereby empowering him to pay all my Debts and to receive such Sums of Money as may be due to me at or after the Time of my Decease I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Johnson All those Pictures whether Needle Works Drawings or Paintings which were the Works of her own Hands with the Frames and Glasses thereunto belonging to be delivered into her Hands on the Day of her Marriage or should she continue unmarried until the Fortieth Year of her Age I direct that they shall then be delivered to her and not before one of these two Events shall take place And I charge my Executor to take care of them until the first of those Events shall happen I also give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Mary the Interest of Fifty Pounds in the five per Cent Annuities (to be paid to her only) until the Day of her Marriage And I do direct that the said Principals of Fifty Pounds Stock above mentioned shall be made over to her in her Name on the Day of her Marriage or as soon after as it can be done for her sole Use and Purposes But should my said Daughter at the Age of Forty Years be then unmarried I direct that the said Principal of Fifty Pounds shall be made over to her in her Name and for her sole Use and Purposes the same as if she had been before married and thereby been entitled to receive it sooner All the Residue of my Estate and Effects of what Nature soever after my Debts and Funeral Expences are discharged I give and bequeath unto my Son and Executor Richard Johnson for his sole Use and Purposes To my dear Brother and Sister as well as all my intimate Friends and Acquaintances I give my best Wishes for their Health and Happiness the Narrowness of my Circumstances not permitting me to give them any other Testimony of my Affection and Friendship for them in this solemn Hour of making my last Will and Testament I do declare this to be my last Will and Testament written and signed by ny own Hand without any Interlineations or erasures this twenty fifth Day of September in the Year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety two.
