Renter Wardenship - On 6 Jul 1685 Griffin was chosen junior Renter Warden in place of John Richardson who had been allowed to fine. On 3 Aug 1685 he became senior Renter Warden when John Overton resigned, having been removed from the livery as a disaffected person to the present Governmt". ---
