FINCH (ROBERT), (?) bookseller in London, 1595. Son of Nicholas Finch of Redbourn, co. Herts., husbandman. Apprentice to Thomas Woodcock { WOODCOCK, Thomas ( - 1594) ‹ LBT 07167 › }, stationer, for nine years from Christmas, 1586 [Arber, ii. 145]. Admitted a freeman on March 3rd, 1594/5, on the death of his master, and took over his fellow apprentice Thomas Wydowes { WYDOWES, Thomas ‹ LBT 08819 › } [Arber, ii. 715, 205]. The only book entry under his name occurs on September 22nd, 1595 [Arber, iii. 48]. Nothing more is heard of him.
