MLT Note: Identity - all the Rest Fenner's in I.G.I. are from Canterbury, Kent. --- Watt Info. - Benjamin Francis Flint, "Brief Records of the Flint family, with its collateral branches" (London, 1856), p. 203 - states that he served his apprenticeship to Messrs Simmonds and co., of Canterbury, Booksellers, and then became a partner in the large publishing house of Gale, Curtis and Fenner, of Paternoster Row. "unsuccessful in this and subsequent engagements, he emigrated with his family to America, and settled in Philadelphia about 1835. Here as a wholesale umbrella manufacturer his prospects brightened, and, his daughters having formed very eligible connections, his latter days both temporally and spiritually have been his best." . This RF and his wife were living in 1857, but of their eight children, only four attained maturity. ---
