Plomer, H.R. (1907) p.65

DOWSE (ANTHONY), bookseller in London; Little Britain, 1641-72. Smyth in his Obituary, p. 95, says: "8th April [1672.] Mr. Anthony Dowse stationer in Little Britain, died this day before noone; buried at St. Butolph's Aldersgate ye 13th, Dr. Meriton preached at his funerall." He is also mentioned in the will of Richard Cotes { COTES, Richard ( - 1653) ‹ LBT 08943 › }. No books have been found with his name.
MLT Note: Woodhead, J. R. (1965) - Common Councilman, Farringdon Within, 1660. --- Adiell Mill (LBT/12253) was freed by redemption from the Company of Haberdashers on 5 Aug 1672 [by] Anthony Dowse. ---
