Further Notes

Ladies Mag. (17 Mar 1753) - Last Saturday [10 Mar] died at his lodgings in Old Bailey, Mr.James Crockatt, formerly a bookseller in Fleet-street; a man well known in this busy town for his many schemes, several of which turned out greatly to the advantage of his brethren and the authors employed; but he met with the fate of most projectors and has left a wife and infant daughter unprovided for." ---
