BUTLER (WILLIAM), senior, bookseller in London, 1614-25. Took up his freedom September 4th, 1615, but had made his first entry in the Registers on October 23rd, 1614 [Arber, iii. 684, 555]. He probably died of the plague in 1625, as on July 4th, 1626, his widow { BUTLER, Mary ‹ LBT 03471 › } transferred all his copyrights to William Stansby { STANSBY, William ( - 1638) ‹ LBT 08785 › } [Arber, iv. 162]. His address has not been found.
