BAKER (GEORGE), bookseller in London, 1627-31; Near Charing Cross, at the sign of the White Lion. Took up his freedom June 8th, 1627 [Arber, iii. 686]. In 1631 he published George Simotta's Theater of the Planetary Houres [B.M. 1141. a. 23. (4)] and Aurelian Townsend's Tempe Restored [Hazlitt, I. 425].
