WHITE (ANDREW), bookseller in London, 1584-92; At the Royal Exchange, over against the Conduit, in Cornhill. Son of John White of Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, mercer. Apprentice to Edward White { WHITE, Edward ( - 1612) ‹ LBT 08008 › } his brother, for seven years from November 1st, 1576 [Arber, ii. 69]. Took up his freedom on August 15th, 1584 [Arber, ii. 692]. His first entry in the Registers was a pamphlet relating to a sea-fight, and was made on May 15th, 1591 [Arher, ii. 582], and his last on July 22nd in the same yenr [Arber, ii. 591].
