Introduction

Robert Jeffray was a member of the Stationers' Company in London during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. He was bound as an apprentice to Richard Hollins on 25 July 1582 and gained his freedom through servitude in 1599. Jeffray subsequently took on apprentices of his own, demonstrating his establishment as a craftsman in the book trade.
