Introduction

John Jugge was a bookbinder and member of the Stationers' Company in London during the late sixteenth century. The son of printer Richard Jugge, he trained apprentices in the binding trade, including Hamlet Johnson and Richard Ward, whom he bound as apprentices in 1576 and 1577 respectively.
