Introduction
Henry Young was a bookbinder and member of the Stationers' Company in London. Bound as an apprentice to Peirce Hewes in 1584, he gained his freedom in 1592 and subsequently took on five apprentices in the binding trade between 1592 and 1612. He had at least two sons, Henry and Edward, who both gained patrimony status in the Stationers' Company in the early 1630s.
