Mentioned in a list of second-hand booksellers who in 1628 were ordered to submit catalogues of their books to the Archbishop of Canterbury. Bernard Alsop { ALSOP, Bernard ‹ LBT 08032 › } the printer confessed to having purchased from him the manuscript of Sir Robert Cotton's Short View of the Long life and reign of Henry the Third, in 1626.
