LEBLONDE (NICHOLAS), bookbinder in London, came to England about 1553 and took out letters of denization in 1564. "Nicholas le Blonde from the dominion of the King of France 19 Aug. 1564." [Pat. 6 Eliz., p. 11, m. 19.] In 1567 he is entered in the Subsidy Roll as Nicholas Blone [R. of A., I, 329] and in 157I there is a more full entry" Nicholas Leblowne, denizen and bookebinder and his wife { LEBLONDE, (Unknown) ‹ LBT 06406 › }, of the French nation hath byn here xviij yeares." [R. of A., I, 436.] He lived in Aldersgate Ward.
