CAR (ROGER),printer in London, printed in 1548 an edition of the Psalms for Anthony Smith. [B.M.] Herbert mentions [II, p. 707] an edition of Herman's Institution of Baptism of about the same date. He also suggests that Car may be the R. C. who printed Five sermons of Bernardine Ochine for William Riddell { RYDDELL, William ‹ LBT 08329 › }, but it is more probable that these initials stand for Robert Caly {CALY, Robert ‹ LBT 28245 › }.
