TYLLY (WILLIAM), printer in London, is known only from one book which he printed in 1548-9, an edition of the New Testament. [B.M.] He lived in the Parish of St. Anne and St. Agnes, Aldersgate, and in 1549 had an assistant named William Bole { BOLE, William ‹ LBT 28430 › }. [R. of A., I, 173.] As his servant is entered in the Subsidy Roll next the servants of John Day { DAY, John (1522 - 1584) ‹ LBT 07316 › }, the two printers may have been near neighbours.
