CLARKE or CLERKE (MARTIN), bookseller in London, 1606-11; St. Paul's Churchyard, Ad novam Librariorum Officinam. Took up his freedom in the Company of Stationers on November 11th, 1605 [Arber, iii. 683]. Dealt chiefly in theological literature. His first book entry was on February 18th, 1605/6, and his last in 1611 [Arber, iii. 315, 474].
