Introduction
John Davye was a member of the Stationers' Company who trained as a printer in London during the late sixteenth century. He was apprenticed to Richard Jugge in 1578 and turned over to Christopher Barker in February 1578, gaining his freedom from the Stationers' Company in November 1582.
