Introduction

John Jackson was a member of the Stationers' Company in London during the early 17th century. He was bound as an apprentice to John Harrison on 25 March 1601 and gained his freedom through servitude on 5 December 1608. Jackson subsequently took on apprentices in the book trade, including James Adams, whom he bound on 16 January 1610.
