Introduction
William Downham was a member of the Stationers' Company in London during the early 17th century. He was bound as an apprentice to Edward Griffin in 1597 and gained his freedom through servitude in 1606. Downham subsequently took on at least one apprentice, Anthony Ibbotson, in 1607.
