Introduction
Nicholas Hall was a member of the Stationers' Company of London. He was bound as an apprentice to the printer and publisher Thomas East on 25 December 1581. Hall's subsequent career in the book trade would have followed his completion of this apprenticeship under one of the most prominent figures in Elizabethan printing.
