Introduction

Thomas Tarrey was a printer and member of the Stationers' Company in London. He was bound as an apprentice to Thomas Dawson on 5 November 1604 and gained his freedom by servitude on 14 May 1612. Tarrey took on his own apprentice in 1617 and received a loan from the William Norton bequest in 1623, indicating continued professional activity in the London book trade.
