ISLIP (SUSAN), printer in London; (?)Smithfield, 1641-61. Widow of Adam Islip { ISLIP, Adam ( - 1639) ‹ LBT 07825 › }, who died in 1639, leaving his printing presses, etc., to Richard Hearne or Herne { HEARNE, Richard ‹ LBT 09035 › }, q.v. Hearne appears to have died about 1646, when probably Susan Islip succeeded to the business.
