Introduction

Clement Watson was a member of the Stationers' Company in London during the late sixteenth century. He was bound as an apprentice to Humphrey Hooper on 25 March 1590 and achieved his freedom from servitude on 1 July 1599, completing a nine-year apprenticeship in the book trade.
