Introduction

Richard Griffen was a member of the Stationers' Company in London during the late sixteenth century. He was bound as an apprentice to Henry Conway on 29 June 1580 and gained his freedom from servitude on 30 June 1587, completing a seven-year apprenticeship in the book trade.
