CONYNGTON (PAUL), bookseller in London, 1577-8; The Black Bear in Chancery Lane. Apprentice to William Seres { SERES, William ( - 1580) ‹ LBT 08396 › } for ten years from June 24th, 1562; admitted to the Livery of the Company in the year ending June 10th, 1589 [Arber, i. 174, 531). Began taking apprentices in 1577 [Arber, ii. 75]. First book entry December 13th of that year [Arber, ii. 322). The only book known bearing his namc is Wharton's Dream, 1578 [B.M., C. 2I. c. 71).
