SALT (HENRY), printer in London, is mentioned in the returns of 1571 "Henry Salt borne in Deluke, printer, came into this realme about xxx yeares past." [R. of A., II, 29.] In the other return of 1571 he is called a bookbinder. He was apparently only an assistant to some other person for in the Subsidy Roll of 1576 he pays only a poll-tax of four pence. [R. of A., II, 170.] He lived in the Parish of All Hallows Staining.
