BENET (JOHN), stationer in London, appears as one of the parties in a Chancery suit, brought between 1465 and 1471, or 1480 and 1483, relating to an attachment, by the custom of London, at the suit of Hugh Wharton and Michael Berne, of goods in complainant's possession belonging to William Herbert, complainant's debtor. [Early Chancery Proceedings, Bundle 31, No. 510.]
