WOLFROTE (JAMES), printer in London, is mentioned in 1550 in the register of the Dutch Church as a type setter in the employment of Richard Grafton { [[GRAFTON, Richard ‹ LBT 02592 ›]] } [R. of A., I, 207] and he is no doubt one of the two Jacobs mentioned in a mutilated portion of the Subsidy Roll of 1549 as assistants to Grafton and as being taxed eight pence.
