ANDREWES (WILLIAM), stationer in London, was made free on the 18th May, 1534. The Lord Mayor made him a present of twenty-six shillings and eight pence, "because the said Andrewes can write very well, and shall bring up youth virtuously." [Bibl. Soc. Trans., VI, 24.] In 1555 he changed from the Stationers' Company to the Vintners'. [Arber, I, 34.]
