WILLIAM (GARRET), printer in London, is entered on the Subsidy Roll of 1549 in St. Faith's Parish as an assistant to Robert Holder { HOLDER, Robert ‹ LBT 08322 › }. [R. of A., I, 159.] He took out letters of denization in 1562 "24 Feb Garrett Wiliiams from the dominion of the Dukes of Cleves." [Pat. 4 Eliz., p. 11, m. 3.]
