Dictionary of National Biography

MLT Note: O.D.N.B. - under Francis Newbery [LBT/2568] - speaking of the death of Thomas Carnan [LBT/28373] in 1788 - "he was briefly succeeded by Francis Power, the son of Michael and Mary, the daughter of John Newbery". This would seem to a probable attribution for this Francis Power - freed by redemption in the following year and at the right address on taking an apprentice in 1790. ---
