Introduction

Thomas Cherles was a member of the Stationers' Company in London during the late sixteenth century. He was bound as an apprentice to the printer Richard Jugge on 25 March 1571 and gained his freedom from servitude on 4 June 1578, completing his apprenticeship within the Stationers' Company.
