Introduction
John Hanson was a printer in London who was bound as an apprentice to Richard Field in 1598 and achieved his freedom from servitude in 1611. He was a member of the Stationers' Company and was active in the printing trade during the early seventeenth century, signing the petition of journeymen printers in 1613.
