Introduction

William Woode was a member of the Stationers' Company in London during the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. He was bound as an apprentice to Francis Coldock in 1589 and gained his freedom from servitude in 1598. Woode received loans from the William Norton bequest in 1599 and 1606, and had a son, Edward Woode, who later gained patrimony entry into the Stationers' Company in 1628.
