Further Notes

Identity - Nichols says that the second wife of Joseph Jackson (LBT/17028) - Mary Pasham - was the widow of a printer in Black Friars. McKenzie lists [p.265] a master - Thomas Pasham - who is described as a printer in Blackfriars. The only Thomas Pasham in the Stationers' Company with whom this might be identified is the Thomas Pasham (LBT/22846) who was apprenticed to the bookseller Aaron Ward in 1724 and according to McK freed 41 years later in 1763 - a somewhat worrying gap. However, I have identified Mary Jackson formerly Pasham as the wife of this person. ---
