HOLLINDER (JOHN), printer in London, was an assistant to John Day { DAY, John (1522 - 1584) ‹ LBT 07316 › } and is entered in St. Anne and St. Agnes Parish, Aldersgate Ward in the Subsidy Roll of 1549. [R. of A., I, 173.J Another John Hollinder appears in 1559 and 1571 but he was a leather dresser. In 1561-62 the printer was fined by the Stationers' Company for leaving his master without leave [Arber, I, p. 183], and in 1564-5 he was paid two shillings "in Rewarde for his departure the Realme." [Arber, I, 282.]
