He was amongst those who were complained against for infringing the printing privileges in 1583 [Arber, ii. 779). From 1584 he seems to have acted as London agent for books printed at Cambridge by John Legate { [[LEGATE, John ( - 1620) ‹ LBT 06877 ›]] } [cf.
