== Introduction ==
<div style="width:90ch;">
William Sellers was a bookbinder and member of the Stationers' Company in London. He was bound as an apprentice to James Gonneld in 1582 and gained his freedom in 1589. Sellers subsequently took on at least three apprentices in the bindery trade between 1593 and 1607, establishing himself as an experienced craftsman in the London book trade.
