In February, 1577/8, he was fined two shillings for keeping two young men in work unpresented [Arber, ii. 845], and in the same year he entered a pamphlet having the title ''A marvelous discourse of a cruell and lamentable acte donne by a luxurious French Capten at Bescorte in Fraunce''.
