Thomas Cadman was a bookseller and member of the Stationers' Company active in London during the late sixteenth century, based at the sign of the Bible at the Great North Door of St Paul's Churchyard. He was freed from his apprenticeship to Nicholas Cleston in 1560 and subsequently took on three apprentices of his own. Cadman was known as one of the more defiant stationers who resisted the Company's authority and Star Chamber decrees, selling unauthorized editions including John Day's ABC and Powell's Nostradamus, for which he faced fines. His publications included notable works such as Lyly's Campaspe (1584) and Greene's Spanish Masquerado (1589).
