Walter MacDOWALL was a printer and member of the Stationers' Company in London. Apprenticed to John Wheble in 1810, he gained his freedom from servitude in 1818 and subsequently worked at Pemberton Row, Gough Square in the City of London. He took on multiple apprentices in the 1820s and died in 1839.
